Mothers Building

First opened to the public in 1925, the Mothers Building provided refreshments and first aid to mothers and children visiting the park. Later, in the 1930s, five women artists were commissioned to create artwork for the building. Sisters Margaret, Helen, and Esther Bruton created tile mosaics, which are the inspiration for our first metapuzzle.

This metapuzzle uses the eight answers from the eight zoo puzzles to create a final “meta” answer.

It’s possible to solve the metapuzzle even if you haven’t solved all eight of the zoo puzzles.

The answers from the zoo puzzles can be entered into the first four rows of colored “mosaic tiles” below. Once you’ve entered the zoo puzzle answers into the correct spaces, you should be able to figure out the meta answer, which can be entered into the green mosaic tiles in the bottom row.
